Next is an interesting case study with 3 different concepts that were designed for one book cover, The NextGen Librarian's Survival Guide, by Rachel Singer Gordon.

The cover on the left is clean and sophisticated. The eyebrow piercing was added to give it an edgy, " "Next Generation" look. 

The cover in the middle has a "chick lit" style to it. The design is youthful and fun.

The cover on the right uses a quirky font, and includes both a woman and a man, since there are more male librarians now.

Which design to you think the author chose?
